Paradoll is our first in a series of Autonomous Investigators. She is designed to be put in a room with a camera on her, and she will conduct an investigation all on her own. Her appearance and voice was designed to appeal to children spirits. How does she do it?
She comes equipped with a motion sensor array. When one of those are activated, she will turn her head in that direction and play a recognition phrase like “Oh, there you are” or “Hi, how are you?”. She will then conduct a mini-EVP session by randomly selecting one of over 50 investigative questions like “What day of the week is it?” or “Are you alone here?”. As soon as the question is asked, she will then record for 5 seconds. At the end of that time, she will play back the recording. You can adjust the volume levels. There are two volume knobs, one is for the phrases and questions, the other is for the mini-EVP playback.
She also has a color translated EMF detector. We have all seen shows where they have an EMF detector and they say “Look! It is 1.5!!!!!” What does that really mean? It simply means it detected a change in EMF levels, but it is hard to draw a conclusion from it.
Paradoll translates EMF analog values to a color that she displays on a mini-flashlight. She is also aware of what the current value is. If she detects variations in the EMF levels, she will then ask “Can you change the color of my flashlight?” If the color changes, she will respond with “Great Job! You made it Yellow (or whatever color it changed to)” followed by another mini-EVP session.
Like her EMF detector, she can also sense variations in ambient temperature. She will ask “Can you change the temperature in here?”. If it does change she will respond with “You made it warmer (or colder)!” followed by a mini-EVP session.
She also has our very own HPA (Human Presence Alert) that operates independently from her operating system. If human motion is detected within approx 12 feet of her in any direction, the indicator will illuminate. This helps to validate that any response from her is not caused by human interference.
Instructions
Paradoll is very simple to use. Power her up, adjust the volume controls and let her go.
The battery compartment is behind Paradoll, under her dress. She comes with two 18650 button top batteries and a charger. The batteries will last 3 – 4 hours.
Never turn her head manually as this can damage the servo. On startup, she will automatically look forward.
