If you don’t know your equipment thoroughly, you could end up with misleading results

The Kinect SLS Camera is no exception.  With one setting, every time it see’s a rectangle, it thinks it is a body and will display the skeleton figure.  Granted, the skeleton will appear to randomly move its arms and legs, but it is not valid.  I remember watching a live investigation where the investigator spent over an hour interviewing what ended up being a doorway.  The sad thing is, they walked away thinking they had great communications because he would say something along the lines of “If you are the spirit of Old Bill who used to live here, move your arm”.  Of course the arm was moving.
